Oldham Council provides a wide range of services for residents, businesses and other stakeholders and, with over 10,000 staff, is one of Greater Manchester’s largest employers. The borough is geographically, economically and culturally diverse with more than 200,000 residents, mainly in urban areas, but some 20 percent of the borough lies in the Peak District National Park. Oldham’s vision is ‘one place, many choices’ and its policies reflect this.
The council’s joint venture partnership in Unity makes a significant contribution to the council’s corporate strategy for delivering services of choice to the people of Oldham.
