Traffic

The traffic management team at Unity is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of every piece of the highway network in Oldham, supporting the economic and social needs of the borough.

Our large range of services includes feasibility studies for pedestrian crossings, co-ordination of road works, processing of temporary and permanent road closures, implementation of traffic regulation orders and overseeing modification works of existing and new constructions of highways by private developers.

The traffic management team also provides improvements to public rights-of-way networks, land surveys, management of highway records, street naming and land change searches. We’re actively involved in implementing signing and road marking schemes, taking into account traffic implications and working in consultation with members of the public.
