We have a strong commitment to supporting the communities in which we work and strive to improve the well-being of our customers and the local community.

Supporting young people

We provide a wide range of work experience opportunities to young people each year, giving them the opportunity to develop skills and behaviours needed to succeed in the workplace.

We also provide apprenticeship opportunities across a variety of service areas to help young people gain entry level opportunities into the workplace and have seen a significant amount of our young apprentices progress further in their careers within our company.

Primary Engineer programme

The Primary Engineer programme aims to develop the skills and confidence of teachers to provide young children with a better understanding of STEM careers. The programme links local schools with our engineers in order for them to help and advise staff on any queries and questions about a career as an Engineer.

Staff volunteering

Our staff volunteering programme enables us to deliver an added value to the community. The programme provides our staff with the opportunity to give something back to the local community, whilst allowing them to learn new skills and gain valuable experience.

Supporting local charities

Every year, we support a local charity chosen by our employees. These partnerships are established with charities that demonstrate links to our business activities and have an international reach to reflect our global footprint. By holding raffles, sporting events, bake sales and more, we’ve raised over £15,000 for local charities over the last ten years.

We are currently supporting Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. The Hospice provides specialist palliative care for adults with non-curable, life-limiting illnesses in a peaceful and homely environment. For more information, please visit their website.
